If the Kennel Connection shortcut is missing from your desktop or is no longer working, you can create a new shortcut directly from the KC7.exe application file.

Create a New KC7 Shortcut

  1. Open File Explorer on the computer.
  2. Click This PC and open the drive where Kennel Connection is installed.
  3. Open the KC7 folder.
  4. Locate the KC7.exe application file.
  5. Right click KC7.exe.

    Windows 11:
Click Show more options, then select Create shortcut.

    Windows 10:
Select Create shortcut from the right click menu.

  6. Windows may display a message stating that a shortcut cannot be created in the current location and asking if you would like the shortcut placed on the desktop instead. If prompted, click Yes.
  7. If Windows creates the shortcut inside the KC7 folder instead, locate the new shortcut and click and drag it onto the desktop.
  8. Once the shortcut is on the desktop, double click it to confirm that Kennel Connection opens normally.

Additional Tip

You can rename the shortcut to make it easier to identify. Right click the shortcut on the desktop, select Rename, and enter a name such as Kennel Connection or KC7.

If Kennel Connection does not open after creating the new shortcut, please contact Kennel Connection Support for further assistance.
